More information

Together with his brother Matthew they operated a shoe repair shop in their hometown.

He enlisted on 23 November 1943 and received basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama, where his brother Matthew, by coincidence, previously was assigned to the same bunk.

He suffered a concussion that led to his death and was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 14 October 1944.

At the request of his family, he was buried nest to his brother Matthew. He was given his final resting place on 10 August 1948.
