S/Sgt William J. Tuschinski was employed at the Wilmington Shops of the DuPont Company before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 12 May 1942.

He was reported wounded in action on 12 July 1944 and on 16 August 1944. For this last wound, he recoverd in a hospital in England until 10 November 1944.
