T/Sgt Joseph H. Owens was a driver at the Pittsburgh Motor Coach Company before he enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 18 June 1941.During an artillery barrage, the house where H Company had set up his command post, got a direct hit. Apparently T/Sgt Owens must have been inside at that moment.
