Pfc Daniel P. Longbrake attended high school for four years and worked at the Bonded Oil Company station in Marysville before he enlisted at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky on 24 May 1944.
He drowned in a lake in Gmunden, Austria on 17 May 1945 and not 17 August 1945 as mentioned on the ABMC website.
