2nd LT Robert L. Bailey attended Davidson College for one year and was a manager at the Lenoir Furniture Corporation.He enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina on 30 November 1942 before he was sent overseas in December 1944.
He is remembered at the Oakwood Cemetery in Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
