2nd Lt George T. Gardner attended Adjutant School in Washington for three months before he enlisted in May 1942. He was sent overseas on 1 January 1945.He was killed by sniper fire.
His brother, 1st Lt John K. Gardner, is also buried at Lorraine Cemetery.
