Sgt Bryce E. Hanna graduated from York High School and attended College for one year and was employed at the Sun Theater in York before he joined the National Guard in York, Nebraska on 23 December 1940.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is remembered at the Greenwood Cemetery in York, York County, Nebraska.
