Pfc Leonard H. Stone was reported wounded in action on 17 January 1945 when his unit was engaged in the fighting in the vicinity of Rohrwiller, France. He died of his wounds on 22 January 1945.He is also remembered at the Brighton City Cemetery in Brighton, Macoupin County, Illinois.
