Pvt Albert R. Burkey graduated from Springfield Township High School. He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 19 August 1944.He had been overseas only three months prior to his death.
He is remembered at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in New Middletown, Mahoning County, Ohio.
