S/Sgt William C. Mills enlisted in Wilmington, Delaware on 29 January 1942.

The two relatives who died in action in Germany are S-Sgt. William C. Mills and Pfc. Oland G. Mills, both of Hebron. S-Sgt. Mills trained at Fort Benning, Ga., after his entry into the armed forces in 1941 an he was sent overseas in September 1944.

His nephew, Pfc. Mills was killed in action on March 16.
