Pvt Patsy De Ninno attended high school for one year and worked in the machine shop of Grelly's Novelty.In June 1944, in Italy, he was wounded by artillery shell fragments in the arm.
In July 1944, In Italy, he was wounded again at the loin by an artillery blast.
In September 1944, he was discharged from the hospital.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his heart.
Pvt De Ninno was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously for his actions on 22 September 1944.
He is also remembered at a monument in Rupt-sur-Moselle.
