Pvt James H. Miller attended high school for four years and was a toll taker at the Toll Bridge before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 26 July 1944. He was sent overseas in January 1945.He died in a field hospital to the effects of a gunshot to his intestines.
