T/Sgt Harold Teague:I certify that while flying as engineer #7 plane in the 2nd box, 2nd attack unit on a combat mission to Vipiteno, Italy on 8 April 1945, I observed the following: Aircraft # 42-51989, yellow K Lt Bent was #4 in the 2nd box, second attack unit. At 1125 hours, altitude 22,700ft. this plane blew up over the target asa result of a direct hit in the bomb bay. I saw a ball of flame and observed the aircraft to disintegrate. The tail turret and the tail of the plane and wing were blown off. I saw no parachutes.
