1st Lt Henry C. Litton graduated from Berea College in 1936 and was employed at the Sears Roebuck and Company before he enlisted at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 25 April 1942.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
