Pfc Gilbert R. Yasher graduated from Celoron High School and was employed at the Maddox Table Company.He enlisted at Fort Niagara, New York on 6 February 1942.
Pfc Yasher died in a field hospital from the effects of artillery shell fragments to the chest.
