Cpl Homer D. Ricker Jr. enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 18 March 1944.

He was reported wounded in action near Villers-la-Bonne, Lutrebois, Belgium on 27 December 1944 and died four days later. The exact location of his death is not known.
