Sgt Rolan C. Rogers attended high school for one year and was a chauffeur employed by the Bordens Creamery before he enlisted at Fort Sam, Texas on 30 January 1944.

Sgt Rogers was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his actions on 4 November 1944 in France.

He was killed by small arms fire in the head.
