Pfc Arnold B. Ridout graduated from McKinley Technical High School an attended college for two years before he became an office clerk.He enlisted at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland on 23 February 1944.
He was awarded the Silver Star Medal posthumously for his actions on 17 December 1944.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
