More information

The route to the target was followed as briefed to the City of Munster. The lead Group carried 500-lb bombs and the Composite Group carried British Incendiaries. Because of the 8/10th cloud coverage, our strike photos do not disclose the bomb bursts. Lt Bull in a/c 42-37773, feathered his #1 engine shortly after the target and could not keep up with the formation. His wing man dropped back to protect him but Lt. Bull told him to rejoin the formation. Lt Bull, crashed into the Zuider Zee and two of the crew made it to the sea wall. S/Sgt Marsilio was buried in Amsterdam.
