Pvt Ralph H. Faulkner attended high school for two years and worked as a veterinarian assistant before he enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on 21 July 1944.He was married to Mary Warwick on 28 February 1941. They had a first daughter on 17 July 1942, but she died within 12 hours after her birth.
Four of his brothers also served during WWII.
