Pfc Alfred W. Lebrecht immigrated to the U.S. with his family from Germany in 1938.

He was an electrician.

He enlisted in New York City on 27 April 1943 and was naturalized in Greenville, South Carolina on 9 August 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments during an advanced scouting of a road.

His brother Ferdinand L. Lebrecht, served with the 86th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, and was killed in action on 20 February 1945 and is buried next to him.
