S/Sgt John C. Luger Jr. graduated from Catholic Central High School and worked for the Dodge Co.

He enlisted in March 1943 and was sent overseas in February 1944.

He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy on 2 September 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
