Pfc Patrick J. O’Brien attended high school for four years.He joined the Regular Army in Peoria, Illinois on 13 August 1940.
In January 1944, in Italy, he was wounded by artillery shell fragments at his hand.
Pfc O’Brien was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions on 10 March 1944 in Anzio, Italy. He was awarded with a Silver Star for his actions on 28 October 1944 in France.
He was killed in a truck accident.
He also remembered at the Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee.
