More information

S/Sgt Robert E. Booth a smith before he joined the Regular Army in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 2 August 1940.

S/Sgt George W. Crockford:
Lt Plank’s plane 438 was flying just in back of our ship which was in number 4 spot in F Flight. I noticed one engine smoking and just after passing over the IP the bomb load was released. His ship then made a left turn and left the formation and finally disappeared. No flak or enemy fighters had been encountered up to this time. Plane when last seen was under evident control.
