2nd Lt Richard R. Olszanowski:

Bomb bay was on fire when I bailed out. I tapped Magee on the shoulder and told him to follow me out. I did not see him leave and don’t think he got out. All the rest of the crew have been accounted for, but none of us ever saw or heard about Magee again.

Lt. Magee was not assigned to this unit, but flew with us on the mission.
