Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Boulware, 709 Locust Street, received a message from the War Department advising them that their son, Pvt Charles Boulware, had been killed in action in France on November 3. Pvt Boulware, familiarly known to his friends as 'Pete' was born and reared in Chillicothe. He attended the Chillicothe High School and prior to induction was employed at the One Stop Service Station, for six years.He was inducted into the armed services March 4 at Leavenworth, Kansas and was assigned to an armored division at Camp Campbell, Kentucky for his basic training.
He is commemorated on a monument unveiled in Ospel, the Netherlands on 6 November 2019 in memory of the American soldiers who fell during the liberation of the town.
