Pvt James H. Wagstaff James enlisted in February 1944 and was sent overseas in August 1944.He is commemorated on a monument unveiled in Ospel, the Netherlands on 6 November 2019 in memory of the American soldiers who fell during the liberation of the town.
He is also remembered at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Scottsburg, Virginia.
