Pvt Bruce Furmidge attended Roosevelt High School for four years and was employed at the Bishop Trust Company before he enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 17 September 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
