T/5 David C. Goldy attended Durand High School and was employed by the Stephenson County Farm Bureau before he enlisted on 9 August 1943. He was sent overseas on 21 November 1944.He is remembered at the Shirland Cemetery in Shirland, Winnebago County, Illinois.
