Pfc James D. Waters enlisted in Clarksburg, West Virginia on 14 June 1943.He joined his unit from the 38th Replacement Battalion on 11 September 1944 and was lightly wounded in action on 11 September 1944. He was promoted to Private First Class on 20 March 1945.
