Pfc Wilfred R. Blais attended high school for one year and was employed at the New England Shipbuilding Corporation in South Portland, Maine before he enlisted in Portland, Maine on 8 April 1943. He was sent overseas in July 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
