Pvt Benjamin Acciarito attended high school for two years and was a civilian worker at the Army Signal Corps depot in Philadelphia before he enlisted in Camden, New Jersey on 3 September 1942.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his chest and arm.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
