Pvt Edward E. Allen attended high school for two years and was employed at the General Motors Corporation before he enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 29 February 1944.He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his chest.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
