Pfc Franklin F. Brophy attended high school for four years and was employed at the American Logging Tool Company before he enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 23 November 1942.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his back.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
