Pfc John B. Mc Cann attended high school for four years and was a telephone operator.He enlisted at Fort Jay, New York on 24 September 1942.
He was taken prisoner on 9 January 1945 and died in Stalag IV-B of heart problems and hunger and was initially buried at the cemetery of Porschdorf, Germany.
