Pfc Joseph D. Wiedefeld enlisted on 10 September 1943.He was wounded on 9 January 1945 and died from his wounds on 11 January 1945.
On 31 December 1942, at night, his brother Albert was fatally injured when he was struck by a truck when he was stationed at Camp Murphy, Florida.
