More information

Pvt James H. Runyan attended high school for one year before he enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on 15 May 1944.
He was taken prisoner on 6 January 1945 and in Stalag IV-A of croupous pneumonia. He was initially buried at the cemetery of Porschdorf, Germany.
