Pfc Thomas W. Boyer graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in Detroit. He was employed by General Motors Research Laboratories.He enlisted in February, 1943 and was sent overseas in September, 1943.
He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross posthumously for his actions in Lariano, Italy on 28 May 1944.
He was killed by small arms fire.
