S/Sgt Herbert P. Wilkinson attended high school for one year and was a sales clerk before he enlisted at Fort MacArthur, California on 14 February 1942.He was killed by small arms fire in his stomach.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
