More information

T/4 Zygmund Skrobicki enlisted on 16 May 1941 at Jamaica, New York.

The 3rd Tank Battalion was heavily involved with the defense of Bastogne at the Noville and Longvilly roadblocks. It is very likely that T/4 Skrobicki was part of these actions.

He was temporarily interred at Ardennes because his family requested he could be buried in Poland. Since negotiations with the Polish government were of no result and the program for the return of WW 2 dead expired on 31 December 1951, it was decided that the internment at Ardennes would be permanent.
