Pvt George E. King attended high school for two years and was employed at the International Shoe Company before he enlisted at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on 29 December 1943. He arrived in France about 23 September 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
