Sgt Russell W. Tripp attended high school for four years and was a pharmacist at the Liggett Drug Company before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 26 May 1941.
He was killed when the vehicle he was in was destroyed by a land mine.
He is remembered at the South Middleboro Cemetery in Middleborough, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
