1st Sgt Ralph L. Sherman attended high school for four years and was a musician and teacher of music before he enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 14 October 1943. He was overseas in January 1944.His brother Oral T. Sherman is remembered at the Tablets of the Missing at the American Military Cemetery in Cambridge.
