Pfc Adam J. Topor attended Palmer High School and was employed by the Textile Printing Co.

He enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 13 February 1942 and trained at Fort McClellan, Alabama and at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Before being sent to Europe, he served for nine months in Alaska.
