Pvt Sherwood R. Williams graduated from Washington High School and was a State Police Trooper.He enlisted in Baltimore, Maryland on 7 July 1944 and was less than a month overseas when he was killed.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium.
