Pvt Archie R. Simmons graduated from Bel Air High School and was a mechanic and repairman.He enlisted in Baltimore, Maryland on 24 July 1944.
He was reported wounded in action in Germany on 9 February 1945 and died of his wounds in a hospital.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.
