Pvt Carlyle W. Packard attended high school for 3 years and was a mechanic and repairman before he enlisted in Springfield, Massachusetts on 7 October 1943.He was wounded in France on July 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.
