Pfc Louis F. Madsen enlisted at Camp Dodge Herrold, Iowa on 31 March 1944. He was a farm hand before he enlisted.He graduated from Salix High School in 1939. Following training at Camp Hood, Tex., he was sent overseas in September, 1944.
Pfc Louis F. Madsen first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Margraten, Netherlands Block BB, Row 9, Grave 217.
