Pfc James A. Connolly attended Blessed Sacrament Central High School and Trinity High School and was a sales clerk before he enlisted at Camp Dodge, Iowa on 9 March 1943.He was killed by shell fragments to his stomach.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
Four of his brothers also served.
