Pvt Alexander J. Cheffalo Jr. attended high school for four years and was a welder and flame cutter before he enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 22 March 1943.He was killed by small arms fire in his spine and trunk.
He was first burried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
